Scope and Purpose

The RVU Wallet app helps physicians see their work in RVUs or time and make it a goal to reach care goals. 

This privacy policy (“Policy”) describes how we at RVU Wallet may collect, use, and share information about you that we obtain through the RVU Wallet app and our website, www.rvuwallet.com. 

The RVU Wallet app is designed to protect your information and your patient’s information and give you access to choose what you share. 

Please note:

  • This Policy does not apply to websites of third parties to which we provide links. We do not control and are not responsible for the privacy practices of the websites of other entities, and we urge you to review any applicable third-party privacy policies for yourself.
  • Our processing of data on behalf of our healthcare provider customers is governed by this agreement. As a patient, your healthcare provider may also have their own privacy practices and/or policies that govern the use of your data. We are not responsible for how your healthcare provider treats your information, and we recommend you review their privacy policies.

Collecting your Information

We may collect information from you in the following ways:

  • Personal Identifier and Other Information: Your name, date of birth, address, email address, phone number, National Provider Number (“NPI”), medical specialty, hospital affiliation, location, username, and password.
  • Internet/Electronic Activity, Device Information, Usage Information: Your geolocation information, Internet Protocol (IP) address information that may identify your computer, mobile device, tablet or other device or browser, information about your operating system and browser, including the hardware model and mobile network information web/app browsing and search history related to our Services, and information regarding your interaction(s) with the Services or RVU Wallet advertising. In addition to other uses described herein, we may use this information to, among other things, help diagnose problems with our servers, analyze trends, track users’ web activity, email, and mobile application movements/activities, help identify or gather demographic information, and target or retarget online and mobile advertisements to you across computers or devices you may use.

Using your Information

We may use your information to provide our Services and for a variety of related business activities, which may include:

  • Communication and Marketing: We may use your information to communicate, advertise, and market to you on websites, mobile applications, and third-party platforms, as well as via text messages, emails, and other forms of advertising. This may include retargeting you on third-party platforms. 
  • Business Operations: We may use your information to understand your use of our digital app to consider improving the app, including to provide, change, market, or optimize our product, to perform analytics and to create new services and products. We also may use your information to determine whether applicable policies and terms are being violated.
  • Reviews: We may use your information to obtain user surveys, recommendations, and reviews of RVU Wallet app.
  • Auditing and Analytics: We may use your information to audit RVU performance based on the information entered into the app and provided to us. We may also use your information to compare the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) national CPT averages.

Sharing your Information

We share information outside of RVU Wallet in the following circumstances:

  • With service providers and vendors that provide services to us, such as to provide analytics, administer ads, provide insights to us related to marketing needs, for market research purposes, and to analyze our marketing efforts.
  • With our related entities for business purposes including, but not limited to, customer support, marketing, technical and business operations. 
  • With our customers, when you engage in our surveys or provide feedback in the form of reviews. 

We also share information with other entities in the following situations:

  • With the American Medical Association in compliance with their licensing protocols in which we share name and address information; 
  • Where you have given us your consent to share or use information about you;
  • When we believe that we need to share information about you to provide a service that you have requested from us;
  • Where we are required by law or other legal processes to disclose information, and where required, in response to a lawful request by public authorities, including meeting national security or law enforcement requirements;
  • Where we believe that it is necessary to avoid liability or violations of the law;
  • To protect the rights, property, life, health, security, and safety of us or anyone else;
  • To any other person with notice to you and your consent to the disclosure.

Notwithstanding the above, we may share information that does not identify you and could not reasonably be used to identify you (including information that has been aggregated, anonymized, or de-identified) except as prohibited by applicable law.

American Medical Association

We use CPT data obtained by the American Medical Association. We do not control and are not responsible for the privacy practices set forth on their website.
